I cannot beleive that there really is an “Academic Freedom BIll” rolling around in state legislations.  They don’t really want academic freedom.  I admire that they want their view out there but they are just like everybody else preaching that their idea is right. 

Legislators argue about all the tiny little details that don’t matter at all.  I mean really why don’t they focus on making kids go get an education.  And then those kids can argue about the evolution theory.  Darwin came up with his idea because he had been taught how to think for himself.  Galeleo was right and he was burned at the stake for his different ideas. 

Can’t we just focus on educating everyone and then letting them come to their own educated opinions.  According to a radom study I found in 1998 only 71% of United States senior class graduated high school and the breakdown on that is as follows:For white students the rate was 78%, while it was 56% for African-American students and 54% for Latino students. Not that White, African-American or Latino really describes anyone at all but that is for a different rant.
