Web Design

Check out the list here.  It also has links to the bloggers sites and neat pics of them.  Maybe one day I can be on a list like that.

On another note.  I spent some time today updating tarraguna.com and I like it, I like it a lot.

Digg!

Once you have a browser that will allow you to easily switch between style sheets then you can really see how fun this whole alternative style sheets can be.  From what I can tell you can only use Mozilla Firefox browser to view a website in a different style sheet but I could and probably am wrong.  I just know that it is not possible in Internet Explorer.  So if you dont already have the Firefox browser go here and download it.  The in order to understand what I mean about switching style sheets go to one of my test sites for bodhi buddha here http://www.bodhibuddha.org/prueba/bb3/.  Once you have the web page up then you click on the VIEW option at the top of the Firefox browser.  A drop down menu should appear and in the third grouping from the top you should have the option for style sheet or style of sheet.  On this particular web page you should see the options without style, style sheet basic, alternative1 and alternative2.  The alternative1 and alternative2 are style sheets that I just made up very quickly today in order to play with alternative style sheets.  You will only see the color of the web page change.  If you drastically changed the style sheet then you could drastically change the way the page looks.

I had lunch with a friend today and after I had spoken a little about some of the frustrations at my new job she asked me to compare it to my old job.  It put things into perspective.  My previous job was still worse than my current job.  I think my current frustrations will ease out and fade away as I get a better handle on my environemnt and all of the little idiosyncrecis.

2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250cc

On a motorycle note; I have decided to sell my 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250 seen in the photo above and I am searching for a moderatly priced cruiser like a Honda Shadow 650.  I totally love the Ninja but we want to do some really long rides this summer.  After the 6 hour ride we did on Sunday May 25th I have decided that the Ninja is not for cruising inspite of my desires.  If things have no funtionality in our lives it is time to let go.  It is sad, and I will be sad to see it go but if you hold on to everything it just weighs you down and controls you.

That is probably getting to philosophical  when we are talking about motorcycles but hey life tends to blur it all together because it is all connected to you.

On my websites note; I have updated the http://www.tarraguna.com website and got a mobile version http://www.tarraguna.com/mobile up and running.  Now I just need to throw in all of the content.  This is easier said than done.

If only I had more time, then I would get these sites to look perfect.  They are on their way. Each of them has their own blog to keep track of it all.

I installed some software on my site and it is great.  I have no idea what I am doing or what to do with the neat installs.  wordpress was easy and I am up and running with it.  Every one of my sites has a blog now.  I also installed ZenPhoto and Gallery.  Zenphoto is working but I think I will like Gallery better when I actually have it up and running.  I then installed WebCalender.  I have it working just no items on the calender.  It will come in handy when I have something to plan, if I ever do.  Finally I installed Joomla but I have no idea where to start.

I started a new job this week.  It is more money, more benefits and more fun than the previous.  Due to starting the new job and trying to switch our workouts from taking place in the afternoon to taking place in the morning, I have not even opened the study materials for the GRE.  I have it in my head that I will take the test this summer.  If I plan to do that I need to allow 2-3 months of hard core studying beforehand.  Thus by the end of this month I need to really commit to studying.  On another note we keep getting rid of some of the possessions that we have.  I think we will just widdle it down until we have the essentials to move and or store somewhere.  I have not updated my graduate school in Puerto Rico website, so I need to add that to my list of things to do……
